Place Beyond The Pines

The first establishing shot of the fairground shows the bleakness of it. This is because we can hear the no diegetic sounds of the screams and laughs however we’re seeing the back part of it with the gravel road. Before we see the conversation we can hear it in this shot, I think that this shows what he’s walking away from and that the mountains in the distance could show the new better world he could leave an disappear into.
